Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB)

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) is the trade association for digital advertising. With over 600 members, it's run for the leading media owners and agencies in the UK digital industry, which includes console, mobile and online social/casual games. The internet is an exciting and fast-growing medium and our job at the IAB is to work with members to ensure marketers can identify the best role for online and the emerging mobile and gaming markets, helping them engage their customers and build their brands. Through the dissemination of research and the organisation of regular events, we aim to put digital on the agenda of every marketer in the UK, acting as an authoritative and objective source for all internet advertising issues whilst promoting industry-wide best practice. Our Games Advertising resource can be found at www.iabuk.net/games

The IAB has produced an Intenert Marketing Handbook for video games. This guide to Advertising and Games will help you plan, select formats, create and judge the success of in-game campaigns. It’s easy to see why P&G, Coca-Cola and even President Obama have advertised using games. With a wealth of advertising options across games consoles, on the internet and on mobile, brands are spoilt for choice. The guide can be found here.
